GEO TRACKER FRONT SUSPENSION & STEERING

2wheel drive (Sidekick/Tracker)

1. Knuckle 4. Steering Intermediate Shaft 7. Steering Gear
2. Center Link 5. (Wasn't Listed!) Steering Lower Shaft 8. Pitman Arm
3. Steering Wheel 6. Tie-Rod 9. Idler Arm
The steering adjustment (stoppers) are on each side of the Pitman arm, and line up with points on the frame.  This is where you
can adjust your steering radius.  If using stock tires to 205s, they can be adjusted all the way in for maximum turn radius.  Leave at stock setting (OEM) for 215s to 235s.

4WHEEL DRIVE - SAMURI (Sidekick/Tracker Similar)

Manual steering is Recirculating Ball type steering.

Sidekicks/Trackers did not come with a Steering Damper.  Using the diagram above, you should be able to
add a damping unit, to both a 4WD and 2WD model.  As long as the damper does not bind up the steering, adding one should be easy for a qualified mechanic.

2WD models should be able to use the Center link, to front frame tube for an aftermrket steering damper.  Your Pitman Arm must be outfitted for a damper to connect one to it.

4WD models should be able to use an aftermarket that connects to the Drag Rod, then to the tube frame.
