With the engine off, unplug the ISC connector, and connect an ohmmeter across the terminals. If the resistance isn't within 5.4 to 6.6ohms (at 68-F, 20-C), then replace the solenoid.
Unbolt the solenoid from the TBI. Using a jumper wire connected
to a 12vDC source, energize the solenoid and verify operation. If no clicking
sound is heard, replace it. CAUTION: Only energize the solenoid
for 1 second, do not attempt to energize again for another ten seconds.
