Castrol Formula SLX's fast flowing properties virtually eliminate delays in lubricating engine parts during the vital first seconds of the start-up and warm-up period which is experienced with conventional mineral oils. The faster and more efficient pumping of the oil around the engine reduces wear and tear of all engine parts, extends battery life and reduces exhaust emissions, enabling greater engine performance to be achieved with the very best wear protection.

Compared to conventional oils, Castrol's novel 0W-30 formulation does not thicken as much at temperatures down to minus 60 degrees Centigrade, or thin as much in the heat up to 300 degrees Centigrade generated by the fastest performance engines. Available Grades

SAE 0W-30: is for winter conditions where low temperature pumpability is required. A unique, low-temperature formulation provides exceptional pumpability in cold weather and allows for unaided engine starts down to -40°F.
